Born in 1994 in Istanbul, Koray Alpay began dancing at the age of 18. Since 2013, he has been actively performing and teaching, quickly becoming a prominent instructor at some of Turkey’s leading dance schools and festivals. Between 2017 and 2019, he worked as a professional dancer with the Anadolu Ateşi dance group. In 2020, he partnered with Beyza Öcal, and together they have performed and taught at numerous international festivals, as well as in Turkey. In 2022, they founded the Encanto Latino group, reflecting their unique style in both their performances and lessons. They continue to participate in more international festivals each year. Specializing in Latin dances, particularly salsa, Koray Alpay achieved significant results, such as the 2023 Salsanama Turkey First Time Championship and the Social Couple Impro Pro Championship. He continues to be an instructor, performance artist, and jury member at leading dance festivals both in Turkey and around the world. Currently, Koray teaches at Vedans and several other schools. With his distinctive style, he aims to contribute to the global dance community through his performances and teaching. He continues to expand his dance career internationally.
