It will take approximately 3 months to learn Zeybek dance. Those who wish to specialize further can continue their training in this field. After learning the basic steps, custom choreographies can also be created, which are especially popular for wedding dances. Couples typically receive training in 5–10 lesson blocks. In private lessons, the difficulty of the movements can be adjusted according to the student’s ability. By the 5th week, students will be able to dance quite well.

Zeybek is a traditional dance from the western Anatolian region, representing bravery, courage, and boldness. It is characterized by slow, deliberate movements, as well as agile, sharp, and dynamic steps. Zeybek can be divided into different styles, including "Kaşıklı," "Kıvrak," and "Kırık" Zeybek, each with its own distinct characteristics.
The dance originates from provinces such as İzmir, Aydın, Manisa, Denizli, Muğla, and Uşak, and is widely performed across Anatolia. Zeybek is often classified into "Female Zeybek" and "Male Zeybek" variations. It reflects the typical life of Anatolian villagers, reenacting the heroism of years of war and struggle through its movements. Additionally, the "Kaşıklı Zeybek" is performed in areas like Kütahya, Bursa, Afyonkarahisar, the eastern parts of Balıkesir, Eskişehir, and Bilecik. The "Teke Zeybek" style is practiced in Burdur, Isparta, Antalya, Muğla-Fethiye, and Denizli.
Zeybek can be performed both solo and in a group, though group performances are generally considered more enjoyable. The arms are raised to shoulder height, with the hands in line with the head. In Zeybek, which is typically danced slowly but sometimes speeds up, large steps are taken, and movements are carried out in a deliberate, slow manner. One of the most iconic movements involves occasionally bending down and touching one knee to the ground. In Zeybek courses, you'll easily learn how to perform this dance.
